Commercial drying equipment with moisture checks—not guesswork.
Dry Me Now supplies commercial drying equipment for Auckland homes, rental properties, building sites and businesses. The right combination depends on the material, the size of the drying zone and the amount of moisture—not just the room size.
Commercial 90L dehumidifiers
Our main hire package uses high-capacity 90L commercial dehumidifiers for contained drying spaces. They are suited to wet carpet and underlay, renovation drying, timber framing, enclosed rooms and persistent humidity where a small domestic unit is unlikely to keep up. Units are used with a continuous drain arrangement where site conditions allow.
High-velocity drying fans
Air movers direct airflow across wet materials to speed evaporation. They are useful for carpet and underlay, wall linings, skirting, framing, concrete and enclosed corners. Fans work best alongside a dehumidifier in a controlled area, so evaporated moisture is removed rather than simply moved around the building.
Moisture meters
Moisture meters support practical checks throughout the dry-out. They help compare affected carpet, timber, wall linings or nearby materials with unaffected areas. Readings are more reliable than appearance or touch alone when deciding whether to keep equipment running.
Thermal assessment
Where appropriate, thermal imaging helps identify temperature differences that may indicate moisture movement behind surfaces. It is an assessment tool, not a standalone confirmation of dryness; results should be considered with moisture-meter readings and the site conditions.
Typical equipment combinations
| Use case | Typical Dry Me Now setup | What is being checked |
|---|---|---|
| Wet carpet after a contained clean-water leak | 90L dehumidifier, two air movers, moisture meter | Carpet, underlay, skirting and nearby wall areas |
| Multi-room water damage | Scaled dehumidifiers and air movers after assessment | Extent of moisture travel and drying progress |
| Timber framing or renovation drying | Commercial dehumidification, air movement and regular meter checks | Material moisture against the agreed project target |
| Persistent humidity in an enclosed space | Commercial dehumidifier with controlled airflow | Relative humidity and moisture response over time |

Frequently asked questions
Why use a commercial 90L dehumidifier?
A commercial unit is designed for higher moisture loads and longer operating periods than a small household unit. The correct capacity still depends on the affected materials, room conditions and airflow.
Are fans included with a dehumidifier hire?
Dry Me Now’s standard hire package includes two drying fans. Additional air movers may be recommended for larger or more heavily affected spaces.
Does a thermal image prove a wall is dry?
No. Thermal imaging can help locate potential moisture movement, but moisture-meter readings and ongoing assessment are required to confirm drying progress.
